Kids
are
our
future

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. We continually work to fulfill this mission by providing our Club members with a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences and hope and opportunity.

Our club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of accountability as well as:

A Sense of Competence: The feeling that there is something boys & girls can do and do well.
A Sense of Usefulness: The opportunity to do something of value for other people.
A Sense of Power or Influence: A chance to be heard and to influence decisions.

This strategy enhances children's self-esteem and creates an environment that helps them achieve their full potential.
